A lot of New Zealand's best motor sport drivers start in go karts. New Zealand has liberal laws governing the age at which drivers may compete in motor sport events. It is not unusual to see children as young as six years competing with their peers in organized events. Most indoor tracks are open to the public, Small low power go karts are rented on a time or by the race basis, these indoor karts are not governed by the same safety standards as their race breed cousins, But they allow many more people, New Zealanders and visitors to our lovely country, to experience the thrill of racing, burning rubber fumes and noise all add to the feeling your there your doing it.
